As usual, at this time of the year, I have a really long holiday in Vietnam, the Lunar New Year. I have the chance to live the city life and get back to my home just to learn that I have a lot of time to have fun and spend time with my family.
People here like to do the same things year after year, they go out have coffee or drink beer with their friends or relatives. I love to do these things, but I often take time to think about what have happened to me in the year and what I’ve achieved.
I can get back some of the feelings for the neighborhood here, which I mostly don’t have when I would be busy working in the city. The life pace here is much slower and simpler.
I can also use this occasion to think about what I’ll be doing for the next year when the holiday is done.
Some just like to enjoy the free time, some others find some ways to kill the time. But if we have plenty of time, thinking everything over and plan for the future is more valuable than doing nothing.
